Salary (SCP 11 – 14 currently £21,748 – £23,080 p.a. pro rata. based on experience and qualifications).
Part Time: 28 Hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am start
(some evenings/occasional weekends should other duties be required)
Hockley Parish Council has a vacancy for an outdoor worker to work on their own initiative as well as jointly with another in maintaining the public open spaces and property within the Parish.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to build upon the already good sound work done by our team and continue its forward development within the environment and community to the next stage.
The post holder will have managerial responsibilities and will be expected to hold knowledge and experience in environmental issues and small tree works. Other duties include grass-cutting, hedge trimming, litter picking and tidying within the parish and will also help to maintain the floral displays and public open spaces. An ability to undertake minor repairs and maintenance will also be needed.
The work covers the whole parish so a full clean UK Driving License is essential. The post holder will be under the direct management of the Parish Clerk.
