Chirstmas Activities for Children

Over the next three weeks we will be uploading three different activities for children to enjoy in the lead up to Christmas. Our first week is this cheeky elf colouring sheet. How about colouring and popping it in your window to spread some festive cheer? Watch out for a new activity next week.

Craft Bombed Christmas Tree

Let’s All Be Big Knits This Christmas

Are you handy with a needle or enjoy other craftwork – if so we invite you to make a 6”x6” square decoration or maybe a garland for our Craft Bombed Christmas Tree which will be on show outside the Parish Hall over the Christmas period.  Why not create something to mark a special Christmas memory?  All ages welcome to take part.  Please deliver your handiwork to Hockley Parish Council, The Old Fire Station, 58 Southend Road, Hockley by Monday 6th December.

If you need more information, please contact our Facilities Manager Nicola Finley on 07944 669 187 or Cllr Sue Martin on 01702 202750 who will be pleased to help.

Hockley Parish Hall Advent Calendar

Look out for an advent calendar at the Old Fire Station in Southend Road, Hockley. There will be a new picture each day in the front windows of the hall right up to Christmas Eve.

Christmas Lights on Spa Road

Unfortunately due to the high winds caused by Storm Arwen over the weekend the installation of our Christmas lights on Spa Road have been delayed.  We aim to have these up as soon as possible.

Castle Point and Rochford District Residents Health and Wellbeing Survey

The Castle Point and Rochford Health and Wellbeing Board has launched a short online survey to better understand how the pandemic has affected residents’ wellbeing.

The Castle Point and Rochford District Residents Health and Wellbeing Survey provides an opportunity for residents to share their experiences and will help ensure their needs are reflected in the new joint health and wellbeing strategy for Castle Point and Rochford.

The survey is anonymous, but there is an opportunity for respondents to supply their contact details if they wish to be contacted and receive further information in relation to the answers they give. The closing date for responses is Friday 3 September.
