Overnight Road Closure - Rectory Road Hawkwell

Overnight road closures will commence at Rectory Road Railway Bridge in Hawkwell from Sunday 12th September 2021 to  support the renewal of the aging traffic signals.  The road will be open at all other times under the control of temporary signals which will work in a similar way to the existing traffic signals.

The work will be carried out overnight between the hours of 7.00pm and 4.00am with a closure in place to support for safe working. The team will aim to carry out the noisiest activities by 11pm, however activities will continue until the end of the shift.

Pedestrian and emergency services access throughout the overnight road closures will be maintained at all times and a signed diversion route will be put in place for other road users.

We urge all drivers to take additional care and observe traffic management and signage in place during the works.

Letters are being posted to properties in close proximity to the works (example attached) in the coming days and a copy has also been uploaded to the works information on one.network.
