Further to agreement at the meeting of the Council’s Executive last night (11 August), the Council’s leisure facilities are due to reopen as follows:

Clements Hall Leisure Centre and Rayleigh Leisure Centre, by the end of August
The Mill Arts & Events Centre and Castle Hall, by the end of October.
Rochford District Council’s Portfolio Holder for the Community, Cllr Mike Webb said: “We are really pleased the leisure sites are reopening, we know how valued they are in the community and how important access to the facilities are.

“We know that working out and staying active is vital to our residents and our entire community’s physical and mental wellbeing and recognise the vital role the swimming pool has on our children’s health.

“Fusion Lifestyle will be working hard to reopen safely. We understand it has been a frustrating time for our customers, but we are looking forward to welcoming people back once again”.

Fusion Lifestyle’s Regional Business Manager Carl Bentley said: “We know leisure facilities are really important to the health and wellbeing of thousands of people throughout the Rochford district and we want to open again as soon as possible, we know we have many loyal customers and I would like to thank them for bearing with us during this really difficult time.”
