After careful consideration and following government advice, Rochford District Council is restarting its collections of large items again from early next month after temporarily shutting them down in March due to the pandemic.

The coronavirus lockdown may have led to many households deciding to have a clear-out, increasing the need for larger items to be collected.

Bulky waste collections will begin from Monday, May 4 and households can make a booking now. We are reducing the numbers of appointments available initially, in order to manage demand and protect our crews. But we will review capacity and increase appointments in line with operational availability. Find out more, or enquire about making a booking
